Amram bar Sheshna
(d. c.875)
   Babylonian gaon. He was gaon of Sura. He wrote numerous responsa and the oldest suriving order of prayer: his Seder Rav Amram contains the text of the prayers for the entire year, as well as laws and customs pertaining to the different prayers.
